Since I was a kid I've always had an affinity for documenting all the great sites I was exposed to in my earlier years. I was very fortunate to have a family that knew the importance of traveling so often and how it would impact the mind of a child who's curiosity and imagination knew no bounds.
I could say that this helped me get a better idea of just how huge the world really is and how much more there is out there for me to see.
As I got older I kept taking photos from the old Kodak 110 to the a Canon K2 SLR 35mm. Film was great, but it got very expensive, so when I decided to get serious about photography, I made a big investment in my first DSLR camera.
In 2005 I picked up a Canon 20D and officially immersed myself into the world of digital photography. It was only a short while that I learned that after years of film development, just how amazing digital would come to be. The speed, and price was completely worth the shift and it was only a matter of time before I purchased a second 20D and a large arrangement of lenses to match.
Since 2005 I have taken the steps necessary to become a skilled photographer through trial and error and countless hours of practice and huge road trips =)
The rate of knowledge and skill I acquired over the first 2 years allowed me to take on my very first student SeptemberSky who learned very fast and with me at her side, she developed into quite an amazing photographer within one year of training.
She is now a professional in her city.
I have also taken on other students since then from "one on one" to "group lessons" covering subjects such as basics, intermediate, advanced and even niche photography. Of course I cover the essentials of post as well and how crucial it is to know your post editing skills in conjunction with photography. Topics such as simple color correction to advanced blemish removal and compositing to name a few.
As time goes on, I am always in a state of learning and will never consider myself a master at any point in the future, there's just too much to cover ;)
So for now, I will just admit that this is my passion and I am always willing to share the love I have for this subject with anyone who is truly interested in becoming a photographer.
I have traveled to many places around the world and have made many road trips in the states. As a professional photographer I take photos everywhere I go and bring back the spoils of my travels to share with all of you. In this blog you will find many trips, tutorials & random events all related to my photography and the places that it takes me. I hope you take the time to look around or just keep posted on the places I go!
Thats me for now my friends!
"Cheers!"
